Logo Animation Examples (and What Makes Each Work)
A good logo animation is short, ends on the exact logo and moves in a way that says something about the brand. Most of the logo animations in our portfolio run 5 to 10 seconds; podcast and video intros run longer, up to 25 seconds. Below are real examples, the main styles and what each one costs.
Logo animation styles at a glance
| Style | What happens on screen | Best for | Example below |
|---|---|---|---|
| Character reveal | characters or objects from the brand’s world build the logo | brands with a story or a mascot | Fabled Farm |
| Hand-lettering | the logo writes itself on screen | script and handwritten logos | Ravel |
| Story moment | a small scene tied to the name plays before the logo | names that suggest an image | Message in a Bottle |
| Line-art scene | a drawn scene leads into the logo | podcasts, shows and intros | The Early Hours, The X-tra Shot |
| Web loop | the logo or its icon moves in a seamless loop | websites and apps | Samuraize |
| Logo reel | several reveals in a row | seeing many approaches at once | our logo reel |
1. Fabled Farm: a character reveal
Fabled Farm: a wagon rolls in, a donkey, a horse and a cat take their places, and the sanctuary’s logo forms around them. 9 seconds.
Why it works: the animals are the sanctuary’s story, so the motion says what the brand is about before the name appears. The last frame is the exact logo, ready to hold at the end of a video.
2. Ravel: hand-lettering that writes itself
Ravel: the script logo writes itself as if drawn by hand. 5 seconds, delivered as a Lottie for the web.
Why it works: a script logo already looks handwritten, so the most natural motion is the pen. Delivered as a Lottie, it stays sharp on every screen and weighs far less than a video.
3. Message in a Bottle: a story moment
Message in a Bottle: a bottle drifts on a wave, then the logo settles into place. 5 seconds.
Why it works: the name suggests an image, and the animation plays it out in one gesture. This one was made for the company’s email signature, where it plays as a GIF under every message. See how GIF email signatures work.
4. The Early Hours and The X-tra Shot: line-art scenes for podcasts
The Early Hours: a line-drawn city skyline and a clock lead into the show’s roundel logo. 10 seconds.
The X-tra Shot: a coffee cup and a microphone drawn in white line on black, then the show’s logo. 18 seconds.
Why they work: a podcast intro has a few more seconds than a logo sting, so it can set a place and a mood first. Both use a single line style, which keeps the logo as the strongest shape on screen when it lands.
5. Samuraize: a loop for the website
Samuraize: a looping animation built from the logo, delivered as a Lottie for the website. 10 seconds.
Why it works: on a website, a logo animation has to loop without a visible jump. Built as a Lottie, it plays natively in the browser and stays light. See what Lottie animation is.
6. Our logo reel
A reel of logo reveals for different brands. 58 seconds.
Watching several reveals in a row is the clearest way to see the range: some build the logo from shapes, some draw it, some let a character or an object carry it in.
How long should a logo animation be?
Our logo animations above run 5 to 10 seconds, and podcast or video intros 10 to 25 seconds. A logo sting at the start or end of a video works best short, because viewers see it every time. An intro can take longer when it sets the tone of a whole show.
| Use | Typical length in our work |
|---|---|
| Logo sting for videos and social | 5 to 10 seconds |
| Email signature GIF | about 5 seconds |
| Website or app loop | a seamless loop, about 10 seconds |
| Podcast or channel intro | 10 to 25 seconds |
What makes a logo animation work
- It ends on the exact logo. The final frame should match your brand files, because it is the frame people see longest.
- The motion comes from the brand. Animals for an animal sanctuary, a pen for a script logo, a bottle for a company called Message in a Bottle.
- It is short. The logo is the payoff. Everything before it should earn the wait.
- It works without sound, and better with it. Many people watch on mute, so the motion has to carry it. Sound effects make the moment land when the sound is on.
- It fits where it plays. An MP4 for video and social, a transparent version for intros and overlays, a GIF for email and a Lottie for websites.

Frequently asked questions
What file do I need to send for a logo animation?
A vector file is best: SVG, EPS or PDF. If you only have a PNG or JPG, Advanced and Premium include vectorizing it first, so the edges stay sharp at any size.
Can my logo animation have sound?
Yes. Clean is silent. Advanced adds sound effects timed to the motion, and Premium adds sound effects plus background music.
Can I get it with a transparent background?
Yes. A version with a transparent background is available for intros and overlays.
Can I use my animated logo in my email signature or on my website?
Yes. For email it becomes a GIF inside an animated email signature. For websites and apps the best format is a Lottie, which we make as custom Lottie animation.
How long does a logo animation take?
3 days for every package, counted from the day we have your logo file. Revision rounds add time depending on how fast feedback comes back.
